around your Plein Sud club

Where to hike around Club Plein Sud?
A short walk... to explore the Var! Hiking is a sport that's as enjoyable for the body as it is for the mind. It's accessible to everyone and requires very little equipment: a water bottle, a hat and a good pair of shoes.
Hiking in the Var, around your Plein Sud club, is the assurance of marvelling at every moment of nature's prodigious beauty. We've selected a few random loops (there are so many!) to whet your appetite.

Walks accessible to all
We start with two short hikes for the general public:
- Tour of Lac du Trapan: a pleasant 5.5 km walk, lasting around 1h30. You'll be able to admire the fortress of Brégançon, the îles d'Or and the clear water of the lake. Swimming is prohibited, but you can cool off on other beaches along the loop.
- Les Vieux Salins: a must for the whole family. Even your children's little legs will enjoy the 5km walk among the pink flamingos and other birds that populate the site. An outing as enjoyable as it is educational, to discover the salt-maker's trade and the history of the salt route.
Hiking around Porquerolles
Here are two ideas for hikes in the Var to get to know the beautiful island of Porquerolles:
- the island's western loop: of intermediate difficulty, offers total immersion in wild, hypnotic nature. This hike takes you along 12 km of rocky coastline, with a few stops for a swim on the various beaches.
- the Langoustier circuit: this should take 4 to 5 hours. This small, shady trail through the pines leads you from magnificent beaches to equally magnificent viewpoints. It's a really pleasant walk to the Grand Langoustier fort, built under Richelieu in 1637 and now restored by an enthusiast.

Sporty hikes
And here are a few ideas to get even the most adventurous trekkers excited:
- Mont Fenouillet: a feat that should satisfy even the most athletic among you. Embark on this 19km trail, which takes around 6 hours to complete. After climbing 745m through woods and valleys, you'll have the satisfaction of enjoying a magnificent view of Hyères and the Maures massif.
- the complete tour of the Giens peninsula: seasoned walkers, fill up your water bottle and tackle one of the most sumptuous hikes in the region. It takes around 7 hours to complete, and you can expect some fairly strenuous sections. But what a joy! You'll probably get a few blisters, but above all you'll go home with your head full of beautiful images.

And why not go for a bike ride?
